I have to say the game has got an error in the task number 8. It shows the operation 6:2(1+2)= and the game solution is 9 but the correct answer is 1. I will explain it.
If you follow the order for making operations in maths you have to do the operations inside the parentheses , first, after, products and divisios and, finally, additions and subtractions. If you follow this rule, the correct solution is:
6:2·3 = 6:6 = 1
Thank you for the very best online games.
Your solution is not correct.
After you do the parentheses you’re left with 6:2*3 like you said.
But then, you need to do the division first because it’s to the left of the product, there’s just no reason to do the multiplication first like you suggested in your solution, so it’s:
You can see it here too: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=6%2F2%281%2B2%29
That is not correct.
Reading the equation in a single line with the division symbol – not with a fraction of 6 over 2 – means the bracket takes priority over the division symbol. In other words you have to interpret like:
So oeldoe is correct.
